Two free super simple crochet heart patterns!

It's valentines day today! To be honest I'm not that big on it as I think love is for life, not just for valentines day, hee hee! :) But I love love LOVE hearts! Today I was once again in my car after dropping Big Pip at nursery and waiting for Little Pips sing and sign class to start. I had a look through my IG feed and saw so many gorgeous hearts. I thought I might as well I have a go at making my own heart pattern.

I came up with the lilac one and loved it! I do like a simple pattern! And when I got home I did a mini version. Hope you like them!

I used DK yarn and a 4mm hook for both of these, but feel free to use whatever suits you.

The bigger (though still teeny weeny) heart:

Magic loop

Row 1: ch3 (counts as 1tr) into the loop, 12tr, tighten loop,  ss into the third chain.

Row 2: ch1, 1dc 1htr into the same st, 1tr 1dtr in the next st, 1dtr 1tr into the following st, 2tr in the next three sts, 3tr in st, 2tr in the next three sts, 1tr 1dtr in the next, 1dtr 1tr in the following st, 1htr 1dc in the final st, ss into the base on the first st and fasten off.

Teeny tiny heart:

Magic loop.

Ch1, dc, htr, tr, dtr, 4tr, dtr, 4tr, dtr, tr, htr, dc, loosely tighten loop, ss into the loop then tighten fully, fasten off.

So there you have it, two super simple hearts! Hope you like them! If you use/sell these please refer back to my blog, thanx!
