Bow tie pattern anybody? :)

A few people have asked me for my bow tie pattern, so here it goes! Please be kind, it's the first pattern I've ever written up! The bow ties pictured were for toddlers, but for this pattern I have adjusted the long rectangle (that goes around your neck) to fit an adult. Feel free to adjust it to the right size for you.
I will be using UK terms for this pattern.

You will need:

Stylecraft Special dk in
Aster
Cloud blue
(You can of course use whichever yarn/colour you like)

a button
a 4mm hook
a yarn needle

abbreviations
chain = ch
slip stitch = ss
double crochet = dc
treble = tr
st = stitch

The bow tie is made up of three different sized rectangles:

Rectangle 1
Using Aster, Chain 23
Row 1: 1tr into 4ch from the hook. 1tr into each ch. (20tr)
Row 2:Turn work. 3ch, (counts as 1tr), 1tr into next st and every st to the end. (20tr)
Rows 3-5: Repeat row 2. Fasten off.
Border: Using Cloud blue, 1ch into the first tr of the last row worked, 1dc in the same st, 1dc in each st, 2ch, 10dc along the side (2dc over each post), 2ch, 1dc in each stitch along the bottom, 2ch, 10dc along the side, 2ch and ss into first dc. Fasten off.

Rectangle 2
(Working in a round)
Using Aster, Chain 13 and ss into the first chain.
Row 1: ch3 (counts as 1tr), 1tr in each st, ss into the third ch. (13tr)
Row 2: Repeat row 1.
Border:
Row 1: Using Cloud blue, ch1 into any of the st, 1dc into the same st, 1dc into each st, ss into the first dc
Row 2: turn work upside down and repeat row 1.

Rectangle 3
Using Aster, Chain 58
(This would fit my neck, so you may wish to adjust yours depending on who you're making it for)
Row :1 1tr into 4ch from the hook, 1tr in each ch.
Border: Using Cloud blue, 1ch into the first tr of the last row, 1dc in the same st, 1dc in each st, 2ch, 2dc along the side (over the post), 2ch, 1dc in each stitch along the bottom, 2ch, 2dc along the side, 2ch and ss into first dc.
Sew button to one end.

Feed Rectangle 1 and 3 through rectangle 2 and you're done!

So what do you think?! I hope it makes sense, if not, please let me know.
I'm thinking of using this to make some big hair clips and on Alice bands, even as a brooch! I love a versatile make!
Happy hooking!!

(Feel free to use this pattern as you wish. If you blog about it or sell your items please refer back to my blog, thank you! & if you pop a picture on IG, please tag me in it, @frofunky)
